Update: implementing a deadline!!!!
Deadline for a card or postcard form Kuwait: Wednesday, May 2 (because I leave on the 4th and need time to find, address, and send it)

Deadline for a postcard form Germany: Saturday, May 5 (because I don't know how much wifi I'll have in Germany so this gives me time to check dA, get an address, and send a card before I leave on the 9th)

Deadline for a postcard from Canada: mid-August (I'll be leaving for a year after that!! )

Note: you can send yours whenever. The deadlines are so I can ship on time!





Would anyone want to do a post card exchange?? I should have thought of this sooner, since my trip ends in two weeks so there's not much time to coordinate. So comment asap if you're interested!!



I'm currently in Kuwait, and I'll be in Germany in about a week and a half. Also, I could just send one from Canada when I get back home if you prefer.

All you have to do is drop a comment with what country you'd be sending from and which of the three you want me to send from! And if I'm interested in your country, we'll trade addresses via now I hope someone joins!

Let me start by saying IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't have dreamed of a more magical weekend. Some of the many many things I got to see and do included;

- take my first flight by myself

- stay a resort that had a "water taxi" (a cute little boat) that I could take for free to and from the Universal parks

- eat at "Toothsome's Chocolate Emporium," a huge chocolate shop that was completely steam punk, including the workers' uniforms and everything, and their milkshakes were honestly artworks!!

- get bit in the but by a raptor

- go to Diagon Alley

- go to Nocturn Ally

- eat at the Leaky Cauldron

- shop in Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes

- visit Ollivander's

- get "wizard photos" (moving pictures) made of me for free

- go to Hogsmeade

- go to Hogwarts

- shop at Honeydukes

- eat at the Three Broomsticks

- watch the dragon on Gringotts breath fire

- see MANY of the props and costumes that were actually used on set, in person

- listen to the live orchestra that plays Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone music professionally, for free

- go on countless rides

- go through the wall between platform 9 and 10

- ride the Hogwarts Express

- try many Harry Potter foods and drinks, including a fresh pumpkin pasty, butterbeer in hot, cold, and frozen form, pumpkin juice, gillywater, chocolate frogs, fizzing whizbees, exploding bonbons, and so much more I brought home and haven't tried yet!

- watch a huge light show at Hogwarts that was only running for this weekend

- see MANY unique and spectacular cosplays

- meet 5 actors from the movies!!!!!!!!!!!! James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Natalia Tena (Tonks), Stanislav Ianevski (Victor Krum), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) whom I got to meet personally, get a photo with them, and get them to sign something

- sit in the 3rd row at the celebrity Q&A

- meet MinaLima, Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, the two fantastic artists who created  ALL 2-dimensional media in all of the Harry Potter movies including Fantastic Beasts (everything from the design of the snacks like the chocolate frog box, to Azkaban wanted posters, to the Daily Prophet, to the marauder's map, to the Hogwarts letter, and the list just goes on and on!)

- do ACTUAL MAGIC!! (and by this, I mean I had an "interactive wand" which has an infrared tip, that you can use at various stations around the parks to do spells and things will actually happen and move according to your spell!!)

Anyway, these were just some of the highlights it truly was magical. I got to meet up with some American friends I haven't seen in a while, but also make new friends!
